Playground Theatrics is an up-and-coming theatre company serving young actors in the Kent, Ohio area. We believe that anyone and everyone should have the opportunity to be involved in the arts, and we strive to create those opportunities for anyone who wants them. We see the "playground" as a safe space to experiment, play, build and hone your craft. Our offerings range from youth theatre camps and workshops to full-scale musicals and Shakespeare productions. Our participants range from kindergarten through college age, and we invite anyone interested to reach out and contact us!
Our Team
Car Reitz is the owner and artistic director of Playground Theatrics. Their vision is a theatre company created and run by young people, for young people. They have a passion for all things theatre, from performing to directing to writing and more. As a future music educator, they study music theory, composition, and performance. They frequently serve as music director and producer for Playground Theatrics productions.

Sammi Friedler is Playground Theatrics' resident director. Her life has been full of performance, from singing and dancing to performing in school and community theatrical productions. As a future teacher pursuing a career in English and language arts, she is well versed in drama and theatre and has a passion for working with and inspiring young individuals.
